"I earned my master’s degree from the National Defense Medical Center in Taiwan and began my PhD studies at The Ohio State University in 2023. I am currently a member of Dr. Michael Tranter’s lab, where we investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiometabolic diseases. Our research applies in vivo models to explore systemic tissue crosstalk.
My project focuses on how changes in the tissue microenvironment, such as fibrosis and inflammation, affect the function of adipose tissue. Dysfunctional adipose tissue, in turn, contributes to the development of cardiac diseases. Our ultimate goal is to uncover how pathological changes in fat tissue lead to cardiovascular disease and obesity, and to identify potential therapeutic targets to combat these conditions."
