I received my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Liberty University. While there, I researched with a variety of professors; I was blessed with the opportunity to research and present projects in Taxonomy, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Computational Chemistry. Now I study cytokinesis using S. Pombe as a model organism. I study the septins, the fourth component of the cytoskeleton, and the related factors that drive cell division.
