I'm originally from Kentucky and got my bachelor's at Morehead State University in Biology in my home state. After graduation I did a post-baccalaureate program at The Ohio State University called Discovery PREP, where I worked in Michael Kearse's lab on ribosome decay. Currently I am working on yeast RNA processing by an enzyme called Rnt1 in Ambro van Hoof's Lab.
