I completed my bachelors in biotechnology engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur. I’m interested in understanding the role of the gut microbiome in mediating the effects of maternal stress and exercise on offspring cardiometabolic outcomes. I use mouse models of maternal stress and exercise, in-vivo and ex-vivo cardiac and metabolic assays, besides OMICS-based approaches (16S rRNA sequencing, LC-MS/MS etc), to study gut microbiome-mediated effects on mice physiology. I’m also experienced in working with biospecimens from humans and non-human primates.
